Scada Engineer (FactoryTalk Optix e Movicon)

We are seeking a highly skilled SCADA Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and development of SCADA systems, with a specific focus on FactoryTalk Optix and Movicon. The ideal candidate will have experience in the industrial automation sector, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.

Position details

Main responsibilities

Design and development of complex SCADA applications in accordance with formal project requirements.

Configuration, testing, and commissioning of SCADA systems for the monitoring and control of industrial processes.

Collaboration with engineering, automation, and validation teams to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

Troubleshooting and performance optimisation of SCADA systems.

Development of intuitive user interfaces for industrial process control.

Integration of the supervisory system with field devices, working in cooperation with PLC programmers.

Support during plant commissioning and testing activities.

Preparation of specification and user documentation related to the various project phases.

Definition of the IT infrastructure and network architecture of the system.

Requirements

Experience with FactoryTalk Optix SCADA systems and the FactoryTalk environment in general.

Experience in integrating SCADA systems with PLC platforms (e.g. Siemens, Rockwell).

Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g. OPC UA, Modbus, EtherNet/IP).

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to SCADA systems.

Proficiency in productivity software, particularly Microsoft Word for collaborative document writing and Microsoft Excel.

Nice to have

Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry regulations (e.g. ISPE GAMP 5.2).

Knowledge of Movicon SCADA systems.

Experience in software validation processes within industrial environments.

Familiarity with industrial databases and data archiving systems (e.g. SQL, Historian).

Experience with industrial cybersecurity and best practices for SCADA system protection.
